FACT began with a simple wish to make life a little easier for people facing cancer in Tenerife.
Who we are…
Fighting Against Cancer Tenerife (FACT) is a registered charity based in Tenerife, Spain, created to ensure that no individual affected by cancer has to face their journey alone. We exist for a simple reason: cancer does not only impact the body; it affects lives, families, relationships, routines and confidence. For many, especially those living away from their home country or navigating a healthcare system in a different language, the experience can be overwhelming.
FACT provides hands-on, human support — practical, emotional and logistical — to patients and their families throughout the island. We do not fund research, and we do not award financial grants. Instead, our mission is direct, immediate and local: to make living with cancer a little less frightening, a little less isolating, and a little more manageable, one person at a time.
Driven by passion
At FACT, support is not an idea; it is a car journey, a translator at an appointment, a hospital bed delivered to a home, a friendly conversation at the kitchen table, and a volunteer who understands how to navigate procedures and paperwork that would otherwise feel impossible.
