Moira Dixon, Founder & Honorary Life President
Moira founded FACT after being diagnosed with breast cancer while living in Tenerife in 2014. Far from her home in Edinburgh and the support networks she knew, she realised how isolating cancer could be for people living on the island. Wanting to make life “a little bit easier” for others facing the same journey, she shared her idea for a support group online and found a community of volunteers who helped turn it into reality.
Today FACT has become a registered charity supporting cancer patients across Tenerife — a legacy Moira remains incredibly proud of.
