Why give?
-
✽
Transport to Treatment
Cancer treatment often requires frequent hospital travel. Donations help ensure patients never miss vital appointments.
-
✽
Translation & Advocacy
Many patients struggle with language barriers in the healthcare system. We provide translators so nothing gets lost in communication.
-
✽
Home Support & Equipment
From hospital beds to wheelchairs, your support helps patients stay safe and comfortable at home throughout treatment.
-
✽
Food & Daily Essentials
During treatment, even basic tasks can become overwhelming. Donations allow us to assist with groceries and essential supplies.
-
✽
Emotional Companionship
Support is not just practical — volunteers provide presence, reassurance and human connection during a difficult journey.
-
✽
No Family Left Behind
Some patients have no relatives on the island. Your contribution becomes the bridge that ensures they are not facing cancer alone.

It’s a meaningful way to support the cancer charity and recognise a special person.
The "Tipsy" Social Tennis Community have donated 350 euros each (Total 700 euros) to two local charities namely Teneris Solidaria whose work has in the main replaced that previously undertaken by the former Santiago del Teide Club de Leones, and to Fight Against Cancer in Tenerife (F.A.C.T.) who support those suffering from cancer providing transport, equipment, translation services, etc.
Representing the Tipsy Social Tennis Community were the Manager of "Tipsy" - Daniel, the main sponsor and provider of the sport and social facilities, and Trevor, who helped collect donations from the many players who contributed to the current year's collection. The donations were given to Meg on behalf of FACT and to Jesús representing Teneris Solidaria
Earlier in the year we were also able to donate 201 euros to our local "Live PAWS" charity who care for our four-legged (mainly), furry friends who find themselves without someone to love and care for them.
We take this opportunity to extend our grateful and sincere appreciation of all those who donated to our overall collection, whether large or small, in support of these worthy and necessary local charities throughout the last year.
We ask our community to continue to support our efforts in the coming year through their participation and enjoyment of their fellowship within our "Tipsy" Social Tennis Programme.
